Lincoln Financial Media taps J.R. Ammons as PD of CHR WSTR-FM (Star 94)/Atlanta, effective December 15. He succeeds Dan Bowen, who left the company in August. Ammons returns to Star 94 after serving as its Music Director, APD and Promotions Director from 1995-2006. He left Star to program KMXV/Kansas City.

Arbitron announced Thursday that broadcasters in Montreal will get their
first eight weeks of PPM data from BBM Canada. Montreal is Canada's first
radio market to move from diaries to electronic measurement. The first 8

ABC Radio Networks signs with WABC-AM/New York talk host Curtis Sliwa to
syndicate "Curtis Sliwa Live," beginning December 1. The three-hour program
will feature an interactive discussion of the top news stories of the day.

Bob & Tom Sends Laughter from Home for Fourth Year
For the fourth year in a
row, Premiere Radio-syndicated Bob & Tom (Bob Kevoian and Tom Griswold) join
forces with the USO to provide deployed service members with treats this
holiday season. Since 2005, Bob & Tom has raised over $580,000 and sponsored
more than 23,200 care packages.

Galaxy, GAP West Sign with Eastlan for Radio Ratings
Galaxy Communications and GAP West ink long-term deals with Eastlan Ratings,
which specializes in small and mid-sized markets. Eastlan will measure
Syracuse and Utica-Rome, NY, stations, for Galaxy, while GAP West signs on
to use Eastlan in several Western markets. Galaxy CEO Ed Levine
commented, "We signed with Eastlan in Syracuse at the end of 2006.

Cromwell/Nashville Inks Troy Hanson to Multi-Year Deal
Cromwell Radio
Group/Nashville inks OM/PD Troy Hanson to a multi-year contract extension.
He currently oversees Active Rock WBUZ (The Buzz) and CHR WPRT-FM (The
Party). Hanson joined the cluster in January and was named PD of WPRT in
August.

Arbitron Mails Winter 2009 Station Information Packets
Arbitron has mailed the Winter 2009 Station Information Profiles to radio
stations in the markets measured in the Winter 2009 Survey. All stations are
asked to complete the forms and return them by December 8. These packets
contain preprinted information submitted for the previous survey and
stations must confirm or correct the information for the Winter 2009 Survey.

HD Radio Becomes Standard Equipment for 2009 Volvos
Volvo will become the
first automaker to offer HD Radio as standard equipment in all but one (S60)
of its 2009 models. The change becomes effective next month on the 2009
Volvo model lineup. The XC60, due in dealerships next March, also will have
HD Radio as standard equipment.

Jacobs Media Announces ''Killer iPhone App'' For Radio
Jacobs Media has
developed an application for the iPhone allowing listeners to access
individual station streams with the touch of a button. In this case, the
button is the radio station's logo and listeners directly access the
station's audio stream instead of having to access a directory or third
party application.

Mike Ginsburg Exits Lotus/Fresno as General Manager
Mike Ginsburg exits the General Manager slot at Lotus/Fresno, where he
oversaw Regional Mexican KLBN-FM (La Buena), Classic Rock KKBZ-FM (105.1 The
Blaze), Spanish AC KXOB-FM (Beso 107.1) and Spanish-language Sports KGST-AM
(ESPN Deportes 1600). Prior to joining the Fresno cluster, Ginsburg served
as GM for Entercom/Memphis and Market Manager for Clear Channel/Las Vegas.

Clear Channel Spends $1.1 Million in Q3 Lobbying Efforts
Clear Channel spent
nearly $1.1 million in Q3 lobbying according to a disclosure report filed
with the U.S. House clerk's office on October 20. The radio giant lobbied
Congress and the FCC on local radio ownership rules, the Sirius XM merger,
the "Fairness Doctrine," broadcast ownership diversity and broadcast decency
enforcement.
